Alumina ceramic grinding ball refers to the high-temperature calcined Alpha alumina powder and other materials as raw materials, through the ingredients, grinding, powdering (pulping, sludge), molding, drying, firing and other processes, mainly as A ball stone that is widely used as a grinding medium.
Generally, we classify 60%-65% alumina content as medium aluminum balls, 75%-80% alumina content are called medium and high aluminum balls, and more than 90% alumina content are high aluminum balls. The high-aluminum balls are further subdivided into 90 porcelain, 92 porcelain, 95 porcelain and 99 porcelain. 99 porcelain is rarely produced in large quantities by large manufacturers due to its extremely high production cost. At present, it is mainly made by hand for some special ceramic factories.
Medium and high aluminum balls are mainly used for grinding ceramic blanks due to their lower prices. High aluminum balls are widely used in different types of ceramics, enamel, glass, chemical industry due to their excellent characteristics of high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance, large specific gravity, small size, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and pollution-free. The thick and hard materials of the factory are processed and deep-processed. Among them, the 92% high-aluminum ceramic balls are most commonly used.
