Today is the 9th day of the Lunar Calendar , the Double Ninth Festival, which is translated into Chongyang Festival or Double Ninth Festival in English.
In the ancient Yijing, the “six” was set to the negative number, and the “nine” was set to the positive number. On September 9th, the sun and the moon were both yang, and the two were nine, so they were called Chongyang, also called Chongjiu, the ancients thought it is a geeky day to worth celebrating, and starting this festival since very early.
